Explanation

The model experiment has the following caracteristics:

Alloy Al - 7wt%Si
Geometry 1D or pseudo 1D. Height = 0.1 m
Boundary conditions Fourier condition at the bottom; adiabatic conditions everywhere else
Domains fully liquid; mushy zone (liquid + dendrites); fully solid (eutectic + dendrites)

Test cases

For all test cases, the temperature and the fraction of solid are recorded according to time on sensors placed every 2 cm along the height of the geometry.
